WELCOME TO CYPRUS MUSIC INFORMATION CENTRE
Welcome to your window in Cyprus music life!
The Cyprus Music Information Centre (CyMIC) was founded in 2008 and aims to offer the widest possible services to Cypriot composers, musicians, educators, students and Cypriot music lovers in general. The Centre’s main objective is to establish a dynamic archive of Cyprus’ music life. We aim at collecting, preserving and cataloguing the Cypriot composers’ works in a user-friendly database, and provide access to the music scores, sound and visual materials, as well as biographical information of the artists, to anyone who is interested in Cyprus’ music creation.
In addition to our commitment to both Cypriot composers and musicians, we also aim to:
-
provide detailed information about the local music life (events calendar and newsletter service);
-
promote the achievements of Cypriot music artists locally and abroad;
-
contribute to the broader cultural development; and
-
act dynamically on the behalf of the Cypriot music artists, in cultural policy development debates on a national level.
